Photos

I forgot to mention that my pictures are up from the adventures of last weekend. Click on the title to see them. View at your own risk- not for weak stomachs! ;) There are also now pictures of this past weekend and the area just outside of the city where I go running sometimes in the album called "September." Plenty of flower pictures :)

You haven't had a comment on this site for a while. You need a comment! I will make some comments. Just figured out where those "September" pictures are. Nice! Have you eaten taro there yet? How do they fix it? Interesting to see how they grow many of the same flowers that we do here. The pink ones are zinnias, the white ones are cosmos, and the ones along the roadside are phlox and (in the background) obedient plant (physostegia). Do they not have bridesmaids and groomsmen at their weddings? How expensive are the traditional dresses? Joy would probably like one. She likes kimonos. Are they similar? Are houses in the country very expensive? And yikes! - movers really climb up and down those tall ladders with boxes and such?! I wouldn't be able to watch! There - how's that for a nice long comment? ;-) Momsy

Some answers to the mother:
Taro doesn't seem popular here. I haven't seen it fixed, only the plant.
I didn't actually go to the wedding, just the dinner. I think they're fairly "Western" these days, though. And I have no idea how expensive the hanboks are. They're used for more than just weddings though. I think they're a little funny looking. Not really like a robe or kimono.
Housing is expensive in Korea, but Apartments can actually be more expensive than houses!
And the structure coming out of the truck isn't a ladder. It's a lift for a platform. They put all the stuff on it, send it up, and the people at the top take it off and put it in the apartment.

April-
When I take the time to read your postings & view your photos, I'm not only thoroughly entertained by your very complete written descriptions of your days but I'm also struck by how incredibly God is watching over you in big & small ways. What an amazing experience you are having on so many levels.
You will, of course, remain in my prayers.
love,
Aunt Rosemary
